We are looking for a HR Generalist to support our JSI team in Milo, Maine. Essential Job Functions: Employee Relations & Leadership Support

- Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units, providing guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct employee investigations, document findings, and partner with leadership on appropriate corrective actions
- Coach supervisors on performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolution
- Support disciplinary processes ensuring consistency, fairness, and legal compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Interpret and apply company policies and recommend updates as needed
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and HR documentation
- Support audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive employee experience
- Support workforce planning initiatives including headcount tracking and gap analysis
- Coordinate and deliver training programs, including onboarding, compliance, and leadership development
- Identify development needs and support implementation of training initiatives
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Promote a culture of safety by partnering with operations on training, coaching, and compliance initiatives
- Support incident investigations and corrective action follow-up
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries
- Support leave administration (FMLA, ADA, and other applicable programs)
- Process personnel changes and maintain data integrity within HRIS (ADP Workforce Now)
- Assist with payroll coordination and reporting as needed
- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment preferred
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience handling employee relations issues and investigations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
