Job Summary

Electrophysiology Technologist, Electrophysiology: The technologist supports electrophysiology procedures and diagnostic cardiac catheterization services during day shifts. Responsibilities include equipment setup, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile-field maintenance, cardiac mapping, ablation support, pacemaker procedures, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. The position welcomes first-time travelers and may include late electrophysiology case and call coverage as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), ARRT(R), or CCI RCIS certification; adult patient experience; proficiency with accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology evaluation, hemodynamic monitoring, pacemaker insertion, percutaneous coronary interventions, sterile-field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; late electrophysiology case and call coverage as needed.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities may include angioplasty, cardiac implant closure device procedures, conduction studies, endovascular interventions, insertion and programming of automated implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, left heart catheterization, permanent pacemaker insertion, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, vascular closure systems, and ventricular assist device insertion. Support is available from intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Orientation consists of 40 hours, and two requested time-off dates may be accommodated.
