Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room position requiring sterile field expertise and OR policy adherence.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room unit
• AM shift, 11a-12a, 3 days per week, 39 hours per week
• May float to sister hospital nearby as needed
• Uses EPIC for charting

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) required
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
• High School Diploma or GED required
• License required if applicable
• Experience maintaining sterile field and standard precautions in the OR
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs
• Ability to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking

Additional Information

• Assist in the care of surgical patients by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon based on understanding of the procedure being performed
• Follow instructions from physicians and RNs while adhering to hospital OR policies
• Maintain a safe environment and practice standard precautions at all times
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
