Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM-6:30 PM / 6:00 PM-6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit, with primary cases including stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac conditions
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-1:6 during day/PM shifts and 1:8 during night shifts on a 12-bed unit
• Float to all inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Adapt to variable shift lengths; shifts may be adjusted in increments based on unit census needs
• Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation schedules
• Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting (STAC)
• Demonstrated rehabilitation knowledge and clinical competency
• Expected weekly hours: 40 hours per week (hours are not guaranteed during the orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience strongly preferred
• Medical-Surgical nursing background considered in lieu of direct rehab experience
• Strong interpersonal skills; candidates who are adaptable, resilient, and comfortable with change are encouraged to apply
