Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure for a hybrid position (3 days a week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex infrastructure, cloud, and network technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, the ability to quickly understand diverse technology stacks, and proven experience managing cross-functional engineering teams through the deployment of enterprise-scale solutions. This role requires a blend of project management expertise, technical acumen, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful delivery of critical infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for infrastructure, cloud, networking, and platform modernization initiatives
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations using detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Rapidly assess and understand complex technology stacks, architectures, and infrastructure components to effectively drive project execution and decision-making
• Partner closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Operations teams to plan and deploy new technologies and platform enhancements
• Manage projects involving Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises infrastructure environments
• Coordinate implementation and optimization of load balancing solutions to improve application performance, scalability, and availability
• Identify, assess, and mitigate infrastructure risks, including network vulnerabilities, capacity constraints, performance bottlenecks, and operational risks
• Track and manage network performance initiatives, including latency reduction and application response time improvements
• Facilitate technical discussions with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and technical requirements
• Monitor project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating concerns and driving resolution as needed
• Ensure adherence to governance, change management, security, and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide regular status reporting, executive updates, and project health assessments to leadership and stakeholders

Requirements:

• 7 years of Technical Project Management experience leading infrastructure, cloud, networking, or enterprise technology initiatives
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including vulnerabilities, latency management, load balancing, and performance optimization
• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) or prior engineering background in network infrastructure technologies, including routing hardware, network software, and communication protocols
• Deep knowledge of networking concepts and technologies such as DNS, DHCP, IP networking, MPLS, and enterprise network architectures
• Experience with Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) frameworks, DMZ architectures, perimeter security controls, network segmentation strategies, and enterprise security best practices
• Hands-on knowledge of F5 technologies, load balancers, traffic management solutions, and high-availability network designs
• Experience managing projects involving SaaS applications, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and enterprise infrastructure platforms
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical stacks, architectures, integrations, and infrastructure environments
• Proven experience creating and managing detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project schedules, critical paths, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and drive successful technology deployments from planning through implementation
• Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating infrastructure, security, operational, and technology risks
• Strong understanding of infrastructure program management and large-scale technology delivery
• Experience with network technologies, cloud platforms, and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of network performance monitoring, latency optimization, capacity planning, and resiliency engineering
• Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
• Experience managing vendor relationships, third-party technology providers, and service delivery partners
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies
• Experience with change management, release planning, and production implementation processes
• Ability to provide executive-level reporting, project governance, risk management, and status communications
• Experience leading infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, network modernization, or data center consolidation initiatives

Desired skills:

• Experience within large enterprise, financial services, banking, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or related project management certifications
• Experience supporting enterprise network transformation, security modernization, or cloud infrastructure programs
• Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and enterprise resiliency frameworks

Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
