Labor and Delivery NurseThe Labor and Delivery Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the L&D Setting. The Labor and Delivery Nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner, consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient and newborn care. The Labor and Delivery Nurse works with mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the mother's vital signs, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possible complications. The Labor and Delivery Nurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs of mothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Labor and Delivery Nurse may also provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns during the recovery and postpartum period, ensuring safe transition from labor and delivery to maternal-child care.Position DetailsModality: RN - LDRPOpenings: 1Shifts: Days; 7a-7:30p, 36 hours/weekHours per Week: 36Contract Length: 13 Week(s)Start Date: 10/15/2026Details of Assignment: LDRP experience required.
