Responsibilities Assistdoctors in all dental procedures andortho treatment s Sterilize,,disinfect,and prepareinstruments andequipmentfor patienttreatment Check all patientdentalappliances prior toadjustmentand remove ifnecessary Assistwith bonding,banding,debonding,and coronal polishingprocedures Assistin adjustments including wirechanges, tie changes, placing separators,andbite stops Complete x-raysandintra-oral picturesof patients in an efficient and timely manner Educate patients on general oral healthcare asdirected by thedoctor Present treatment to patients based onDoctorrecommendations Record patient charting and all the d doctor’s notes in the digital patient chart asdirected Maintain inventory and supplies Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices) Anyadditional duties andresponsibilitiesasassigned Qualifications Bilingualin Spanish/English High School Diploma or GEDrequired Dental Assisting Certificatepreferred X-ray certification or ability to obtainwithin 3months of hire Coronal polish certificationpreferred 1-2years' experienceas an Orthodontic Assistantpreferred Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Must have asuperior knowledge of dent al clinical operationsand terminology Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor and patients Must havea warmfriendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work within a team environment and lend support, as a team player,to teammatesas needed.
