Whether they are staying in one of our river-view cabins, canyon cabins, mountain-side cabins Glacier Lodge, or the Andre J Melief River Lodge, we take pride in making sure their room adds to the enjoyment of their Quinn's experience.
Our mission is happiness. This position serves as an overnight presence for the resort and uses sound judgment to identify and appropriately respond to safety, security, and operational concerns, including contacting and assisting emergency services when necessary. The Night Watch is not a licensed security guard, law enforcement officer, or emergency responder and does not have law enforcement authority; the role is focused on observation, prevention, communication, documentation, and notifying appropriate management or emergency personnel when situations require additional assistance. The position requires reliability, strong situational awareness, professionalism, effective communication, and the ability to work independently while helping ensure the safety and well-being of guests, employees, and resort property.
Schedule is 8:00p.m - 6:00am Sunday - Tuesday.
Wage is $20-$22 per hour DOE.
Overnight Security & Property Inspections
- Conduct routine inspections of resort buildings, guest areas, grounds, parking lots, and facilities throughout the overnight shift.
- Verify that exterior doors, access points, equipment sheds, fuel storage areas, pool facilities, restaurant, tavern, and other designated areas are properly secured.
- Inspect vacant guest rooms to confirm they are unoccupied and secured.
- Conduct regular checks of Paradise Hall and both resort lodges.
- Monitor parking areas for unauthorized, suspicious, or improperly parked vehicles, including unauthorized RVs or motor homes.
- Monitor resort grounds for unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, or other potential security concerns.
- When appropriate, attempt to make contact with owners of suspicious or unauthorized vehicles and continue monitoring when contact cannot be established.
- Ensure unauthorized individuals or trespassers are directed off resort property in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Remain alert to wildlife and other environmental hazards when conducting inspections of remote areas of the property.
Evening Closing Procedures
- Confirm that the restaurant is clear of guests following closing and that all designated doors, including patio doors, are secured.
- Close and secure pool areas, ensuring all guests have vacated the pool and courtyard areas.
- Secure exterior pool-entry doors and courtyard gates.
- Confirm the tavern is clear of guests following closing and secure all designated tavern doors, including emergency exits.
- Assist with end-of-night tavern closing procedures, including putting up chairs when requested.
- Assist in safely releasing remaining kitchen staff through the employee kitchen entrance and securing the entrance afterward.
- Respond appropriately to noise complaints or disturbances associated with guests leaving the tavern.
Guest & Employee Safety
- Maintain a professional and visible presence throughout the resort during overnight hours.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints, calls, disturbances, and safety concerns.
- Monitor pool and tavern areas as needed and maintain communication with operating departments.
- Assist guests and employees when safety or security concerns arise.
- Maintain continuous radio or telephone communication with the Night Auditor or designated resort personnel.
- Contact emergency services when necessary and provide clear directions and assistance to responding personnel.
- Exercise sound judgment when determining when an issue requires management, law enforcement, fire, medical, or other emergency assistance.
Overnight Communication & Coordination
- Check in with operating departments at the beginning of the shift and obtain the current in-house report and list of vacant rooms from the Front Desk.
- Maintain regular communication with the Front Desk, Night Auditor, Pools, and other designated departments throughout the shift.
- Conduct scheduled check-ins to ensure overnight operations remain coordinated and that emerging concerns are communicated promptly.
- Report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, security issues, guest concerns, or other incidents to the appropriate member of management.
Resort Operations & Support
- Return the housekeeping van to Housekeeping Headquarters and unload rollaway beds and equipment as directed.
- Ensure resort access keys are properly accounted for and have not been inadvertently discarded in trash or cardboard compactors.
- Conduct final grounds and property inspections prior to the end of the shift.
- Complete any additional overnight operational tasks assigned by management that support the safety, security, and smooth operation of the resort.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete required overnight reports accurately, clearly, and concisely.
- Document significant incidents, guest concerns, suspicious activity, property concerns, and other relevant overnight events.
- Communicate outstanding issues to the appropriate department or manager before the conclusion of the shift.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and other required overnight activities.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations, guest satisfaction, and the safety and security of guests, employees, and resort property.
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, and respect when interacting with guests and employees.
