Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic emergency department setting, serving a diverse patient population with urgent and emergent medical needs.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, utilizing advanced clinical skills and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This position may require working across multiple Emergency Department locations within Janesville and Beloit, providing a varied and challenging experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care, collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict accordance with approved nursing techniques, facility policies and procedures, established standards of care, and State practice acts.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly, adhering to established standards of care.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and continuously evaluate patient outcomes.
• Initiate and execute patient plans of care based on individualized patient needs, physician orders, and clinic policies, including comprehensive patient and family education.
• Actively participate in departmental or unit performance improvement initiatives, which may include engagement in shared governance activities.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments as needed, supporting the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Employ critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
• Engage in professional nursing continuum processes, contribute to unit practice activities and decisions, and participate in peer review processes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent, acute care experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
