Fulfillment Manager Location: Durham, NC Date: September 20, 2026 Category: Agriculture / Production Job type: Full-Time Job Description Happy Dirt’s operations team is fast paced and dynamic – its work varies day-to-day and across the growing seasons. You will be a part of a small crew, working closely with one another to ensure high quality produce is safely, accurately, and efficiently received, packed, and shipped to our customers. Happy Dirt’s Fulfillment Manage is responsible for overseeing fulfillment of all local orders as well as managing fulfillment team members, assists, and specialists. This position requires consistent communication with operations, sales, and purchasing on a daily basis. The fulfillment manager may take part in any or all of the responsibilities below, but is mainly responsible for managing all Fulfillment team members and processes. This position reports to the VP of Operations. Responsibilities

ORDER ROUTING & PREPARATION

Oversee routing, preparing, and organizing orders for the fulfillment team Collaborate with Logistics Manager to troubleshoot routing challenges

ORDER FULFILLMENT

When necessary, assist in picking and packing pallets

POST-PACK ORDER ORGANIZATION (ROUTING)

Ensure accuracy of packed pallets Ensure accuracy of routes Facilitate invoices and prepare manifest for delivery routes

TEAM MANAGEMENT

Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of all new Fulfillment Team hires Conduct regular check-ins and team meetings with Fulfillment Team Conduct annual reviews of Fulfillment Team Communicate feedback and corrective actions when necessary

PROCESS MANAGEMENT

Regularly analyze fulfillment processes and make adjustments when necessary Review Fulfillment KPIs and create improvement plans

FOOD SAFETY

Help conduct scheduled food safety inspections and checklists Help complete various warehouse cleaning and sanitation tasks as required by Happy Dirt’s food safety program. Help ensure delivery trucks are clean and sanitized as required by Happy Dirt’s food safety program Requirements Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted Must be able to work in refrigerated conditions (with proper clothing) Preferred Traits Considerate co-worker and skilled communicator Able to make quick decisions and work under pressure Quick to engage in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Self-start – be able to find and prioritize your own tasks Strong communicator across departments Preferred Skills & Experience Experience picking, packing, and shipping customer orders Experience implementing GFSI-based food safety programs Experience routing deliveries and communicating ETAs to drivers and customers Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Proficiency in business and inventory ERP software Experience driving an electric jack and/or forklift

POSSIBLE SHIFTS & SCHEDULE

Full time hours (35 – 40hrs/wk) 10:00AM – 6:00 PM shifts Occasional Sunday shifts Benefits & Pay Salary DOE.
