Phlebotomist Group Lead – Rogers, AR – Monday to Friday, day shifts (varies) Pay range: $24.85+ per hour. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams, etc.). Administer oral solutions per training. Research test/client information and verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems. Accurately complete all data entry requirements, including patient registration, test order entry, and managing standing orders. Enter billing information and collect payments when required, safeguarding assets and credit card information. Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing) as required. Perform departmental clerical duties (data entry, inventory, stock supplies, answering phones) when assigned. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, ensuring all staff follow instructions. Verify patient demographic info and signatures post‑venipuncture to confirm correct labelling. Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data. Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance logs, temperature logs) in a timely manner. Complete training courses and keep up‑to‑date with the latest phlebotomy techniques. Travel to Territory Manager meetings if held off‑site or outside normal shifts. Participate in special projects and teams. Stay current on company communications and assist with distribution of technical information. Perform point‑of‑care (POC) testing at sites where needed, completing required competency evaluations per SOP. Act as mentor and resource for new employees, assisting their transition into the PSC work environment. Assist with periodic inventory counts. Assist with preparing schedules for the assigned workgroup or PSCs. Communicate professionally with clients to resolve issues, prepare documentation, and report critical issues as they occur. Ensure staff follows safety precautions (lab coat, gloves, face shield). Assist supervisors with implementing SOPs and distributing technical information. Maintain facilities neat, clean, and in good repair; advise supervisors of required repairs. Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees and the point of contact for staff on‑site. Provide effective onboarding services to new clients. Partner with supervisors to assist in the transition process setting up new offices for PSCs and IOPs. Stepping in for a PSR III and leading one or more PSRs on site. Support patient inquiries from the website, Office of Chairman, and Managed Care as needed. Support the Problem Resolution Line and may be called to the field regarding patient recollection. Provide input on performance evaluations of PSRs. Required Work Experience Seven years of phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections). Keyboard/data entry experience. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record (if applicable). Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations with minimal notice. Preferred Work Experience Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Minimum five years in a PSC/IOP environment. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift light to moderately heavy objects (1–15 lbs frequently; 16–25 lbs occasionally; 26–40 lbs seldom; >41 lbs with assistance). Sit or stand for long periods; requires eye and hand coordination. Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently. Position requires travel. Extensive use of phone and PC. Fine dexterity with hands; steadiness. Talking, walking, balancing, bending/kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching/twisting. Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required). Languages English (Required).
