Lead Web DeveloperDeveloperCranston, RISummary/Objective: The Lead Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining various aspects of our B2C website that will improve the Company's growing web presence. She/he will be expected to take technical leadership on the development of our web-based projects as well as support ongoing maintenance of our B2C website.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Initiate the research, planning, development, collaboration, and documentation of website related projects; communicate and collaborate with project leads and other software developers on multiple, simultaneous projectsGuide and support the maintenance and enhancement of our current B2C and blog sites; taking into consideration frontend layout and user experienceLead the role in interfacing with Digital, IT and Development teams to gather requirements, define scope of work, prioritize workload, communicate timeline and manage expectationsLead and mentor a small team of dedicated B2C developersCreate new functionalities, enhancements, maintenance, and testingAdjust themes for templates, layouts, CSS, Javascript, and other components of the front end of a Magento sitePartner with the Marketing team in converting digital assets to web ready formatsTake a lead role in establishing and documenting website processes, functionalities, development standards and common components for usage across all applicationsCompetencies:Total Work SystemsTechnical LearningCustomer FocusFunctional/Technical SkillsOrganizational AgilityTravel: This position requires limited travel; 0-25%, position is based out of NYQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering required and/or equivalent of 5+ years of experienceExpert knowledge of current/emerging web technologies: HTML5/CSS3, JS, JS Framework (i.e.: Angular, React, Backbone, etc.), jQuery, MySQK, PHP, and GITExperience developing responsive/adaptive layoutsMust have experience working in terminalPrior experience developing API's utilizing REST architectureAbility to write high-performance, reusable code for UI componentsPassion for performance, debugging and benchmarkingIn-depth experience developing numerous web-based applications (5+ years)Experience with Scrum and an Agile Development environmentKnowledge of Hybris, ATG, or IBM, Oracle a plusStrong portfolio of work showing experience developing standards-compliant front-end code for web and mobile webExperience developing for Magento E-Commerce (5+ years)WordPress experience preferredImage processing applications (Ps, Ai, Id)
