Pharmacy Technician Duties
Provides healthcare to patients, specifically being concerned with the effective and efficient use of pharmaceuticals in treating the various diseases and conditions of human patients.
Uses an extensive knowledge of drugs and other pharmaceuticals available, their nature, actions, and interactions.
Provides authoritative instructions to prescribing and dispensing officials.
Serves on a variety of committees, boards, and other bodies representing the pharmacy.
Monitors the dispensing of all pharmaceuticals in the Military Treatment Facility and allied facilities.
Counsels on alternatives that will still satisfy medical needs in a situation.
Conducts training of students, physicians, pharmacists and other health care providers on the use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
Participates in at least one of the following advanced practice activities, i.e. medication therapy, hematology/oncology, investigation pharmacy, and integrated pharmacy.
