Job Description: Wastequip WRX – our Equipment Service Division ( - is seeking Mechanics who want to level up their career. We will provide tools, training a truly great team and a work environment which allows you to not only be a mechanic, but a partner for our customers. All you need to bring is a can-do attitude and problem-solving capabilities. Location: Lithia Springs, GA. Hourly Rate Range: $23.59 to 35.78 (based on experience). Summary of essential job functions Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Ability to lift 50lbs plus, bend, stoop, kneel and climb ladders. Above all, must be able to work closely with co‑workers or other team members. Minimum requirements 1 year of Truck or Heavy Equipment mechanic diagnosis (maintenance) experience is required. 1 year of 12/24 volt electrical experience is required. Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics is required. 1 Year Fabrication Experience is preferred. 1 Year Welding experience preferred. ASE certification is preferred. Waste collection equipment knowledge will be a large plus for this position. Required License or Certification Have a DOT (non‑CDL) medical card or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment. CDL preferred but not required.
