TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Tacoma, Washington, 98405!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Ability to float throughout multiple units Description: Candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated within the past year. Travelers will be required to float throughout the designated region as needed. Ratios in all units are 4-5 patients per RN. Nurse aids are available with a ratio of 8-11 patients per CNA. RNs are responsible for reading telemetry strips, with remote monitoring by telemetry techs. Common diagnoses include a range of acute and chronic medical cases. RNs will be required to titrate certain drips as per guidelines. Travelers should be prepared to float to cover the entire med-surg and telemetry division. Assignments may require working in various specialties, including surgical and general medical cases. There may be a requirement to work as a CNA or entrance screener if necessary. Shifts are 12 hours, with weekend and holiday coverage required. Travelers must take breaks when offered and cannot refuse. There is a call or standby requirement of up to 4 times during the contract duration. The cancellation policy allows for a limited number of shifts to be canceled during the assignment. Charting is conducted using an electronic system. Unit orientation will cover all areas in the division but will not include extensive training on alternate units. All team members must adhere to standard of care practices across units. No specific scrub color or dress code is required. Travelers must be flexible and responsive to the staffing needs of the organization.
