Description

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a full-time operating room position with weekend call rotation and BLS certification required.

Details

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 7am-5:30pm
• Weekend call rotation from 7am Friday through 7am Monday with a 15-minute response time requirement

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required

Additional Information

• Prepare the operating room, including setting up the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
• Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment
• Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator
• Keep records of Steam Sterilizer use
• Keep suture carts organized and monitor expiration dates
• Turn over operating rooms between cases
• Assist team members with gowning and gloving
• Assist with patient positioning and transport patients between cart and bed
