About the Unit and Hospital Greenville Emergency Department is a community-based hospital that is part of the Corewell Healthcare System. The ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are over 25 care spaces to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. The ED receives over 29,000 visits per year and consistently ranks highly in patient experience and throughput measures. Scope of Work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Qualifications Associate's in Nursing required. Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years. Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required. AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days. AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA required within 180 days. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) – ENA required within 1 year. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – ENA required.
