Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a community hospital setting caring for a culturally diverse patient population
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and cesarean section circulation
• Average daily census of 15-20 patients with approximately 20 visits per day
• 11 rooms with 15 beds; postpartum experience preferred
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• Patient ratio experience of 1:3
• Comprehensive L&D skills including labor support, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and fetal monitoring
• Willingness to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (no Nursys or background hits accepted)
