ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

John Hiester Automotive is currently seeking a full-time Reconditioning Technician to join our winning team! In this role, you will:

• Conducts thorough inspections of inventory vehicles.

• Identifies required repairs and routine maintenance tasks.

• Estimates labor time and determines necessary parts for service.

• Carries out vehicle repairs and scheduled maintenance.

• Accurately documents all services and repairs performed.

• Completes services efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.

• Adheres to both dealership and manufacturer service protocols.

• Submit requests for required parts in a timely manner.

• Collaborate effectively with vendors and team members.

• Logs all hours worked accurately in the company’s timekeeping system.

• Upholds and demonstrates the company’s core values in daily work.

• Follows all company policies and procedures.

• Observes and complies with all applicable safety regulations at the federal, state, local, and company levels.

• Maintains efficiency without compromising quality or safety.

• Uses critical thinking to diagnose and resolve issues.

• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

• Conducts North Carolina State Inspections, ensuring all vehicles meet legal and safety standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Must have a clean criminal background and pass pre-employment drug screen.
• An active and valid driver license and good driving record.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers.
• Have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented.
• Be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with little supervision.
• Obtain the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
• Professional demeanor.
• Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements.

SHOP SCHEDULE

• Closed every Sunday
• Every Other Saturday
• Monday-Friday 7:00 am- 5:00 pm
