Introduction The Department of Health Services (DHS), Southern Wisconsin Center (SWC) is recruiting for a Physician. This position will typically work between 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday and includes weekends as needed. - Licensed or eligibility to obtain license to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin. Licensure must be obtained by time of appointment. Please refer to the WI Department of Safety and Professional Services website for more information on licensing. Eligibility means you are licensed in another state or have applied and are in the process of obtaining a license in the State of Wisconsin.
- DEA Registration or be eligible to obtain DEA Registration.
- Experience performing basic physical examination techniques and general knowledge of medical therapeutics
- Ability to diagnose and treat acutely and chronically ill patients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health, and maladaptive behaviors.
- Knowledge of behavioral science topics within the medical curriculum.
- Experience with accurate, efficient, and timely medical records documentation
