RN - AmbulatoryShift Details: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours.Job Order Details: Start Date 07/06/2026, End Date 10/05/2026, Duration 13 weeks.Location: Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant, 8201 EwingHalsell, San Antonio, TX 78229, Floor: 2nd, Building: Methodist Transplant Institute.Unit Information: Outpatient Post-Transplant Kidney Clinic. We are the largest living kidney donor program in the U.S. and largest deceased donor program in TX. Opening is to help manage the patients post-transplant. Number of Beds 9 Post-Transplant Clinic Exam Rooms (23 total rooms). Number of Staff 11 in the post-transplant clinic (65 total staff). Type of staff: Day Shift 9 Transplant Coordinators, 1 Transplant Scheduler, 1 Contract Scheduler. Night Shift - n/a. Patient Ratios vary on patient population.Managing patients post kidney transplant. Type of equipment: Primarily at a workstation with dual screens, laptop, scanner, and phone. EMR Meditech and PresidioTeleresults (transplant based).Typical hiring profile: Skill Set: Must have candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Multi-tasking and prioritization, critical thinking, excellent customer service. Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Patient triage, working with high call volumes, work both independently and with the team.List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Triage post-transplant patient calls, order and review lab results and escalate when needed, schedule testing when indicated (transplant biopsy, diagnostic exam), enter electronic prescriptions, clinic prep, patient assessments if needed.Best personality fit: Positive and self-driven person that can handle high volume of calls and tasks. Flexible.Required Certifications: BLS.Weekends and On call (if any): This is a Monday thru Friday, 0800-1630 position.
