The details of the position are only a summary, other duties may be assigned as necessary.Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.Talascend is currently seeking a Vision, Robot, PLC Controls Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.OverviewThe role involves designing and supporting control systems, including piping, wiring, and control panel development, primarily for automation and system start-up projects in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesEngineer and design pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic piping diagrams. Design electrical control panels and programmable logic controller (PLC) software. Develop and implement programmable human machine interface (HMI) software. Tryout, debug, and provide start-up support for control systems. Provide technical support for installation, training, and site visits to plant locations. Review PLC logic and wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot system issues. Manage project tasks related to automation equipment and wiring approval processes. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering. Five to seven years of relevant experience in controls engineering. Experience with PLC logic, electrical print reading, and Ethernet networks. Ability to review and approve wiring diagrams and troubleshoot ASRS systems. Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Siemens systems and experience with automation projects. Energetic, eager to learn, talented, and sharp with the ability to handle ambiguity. The shift is Monday through Friday with some weekend work, and candidates will need to travel to Toledo as required. The role does not offer remote work.We thank all applicants for their interest.
