Respiratory Equipment Specialist: Patient Care & CPAP Setup

The Role: To support patients by assisting with the selection and purchase of respiratory supplies, while providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional environment. This includes processing transactions, managing inventory, and ensuring all orders are accurately generated with proper documentation and insurance verification. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM What We're Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or a medical office setting Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical insurance processes is a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy and patience Skilled with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software What You’ll Be Doing Greet customers, assess their medical equipment needs, and recommend appropriate products. Instruct patients and caregivers on the safe and proper use, care, and maintenance of their durable medical equipment. Collect and verify patient demographics, prescriptions, and insurance information. Review physician orders for equipment set ups Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and related respiratory equipment Educate patients on proper use, mask fitting, cleaning, and maintenance Demonstrate equipment operation and answer patient questions Ensure patients understand compliance requirements and follow-up procedures Accurately document patient information, equipment serial numbers, and setup details Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed Competitive pay #J-18808-Ljbffr
