Account Executive

As a member of the corporate sales team, your role will incorporate a number of sales and project management responsibilities.
Key Functions (Business Development Focused):
• Serve as the primary client relationship lead, owning communication from prospecting through project completion
• Drive new business development through proactive outreach, networking, and expansion within existing accounts
• Identify, pursue, and help close furniture, walls, and ancillary opportunities across target accounts
• Partner with Sales, Design, Client Services, and manufacturer reps to develop strategic, competitive solutions for clients
• Lead client engagement efforts including showroom tours, presentations, discovery meetings, and product introductions
• Build proposals, pricing strategies, and solution packages that align with client goals, budgets, and timelines
• Leverage manufacturer and installer relationships to secure competitive pricing, lead times, and differentiated solutions
• Manage project momentum from opportunity creation through order placement, installation, and closeout to ensure exceptional client experience
• Participate in RFP responses, strategic account planning, and pursuit strategy sessions for major opportunities
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within active projects and existing client relationships
• Act as the internal quarterback between Sales, Design, PM, and Operations to accelerate client deliverables and decision-making
• Conduct site walks, field verification, and client meetings to uncover opportunities and ensure execution aligns with expectations
• Build and maintain a strong network of brokers, designers, end users, GCs, and industry partners to generate pipeline
• Represent the company in the market through events, relationship building, and thought leadership opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience with furniture related sales and/or installation experience is preferred.
- Proven success in a fast-paced client focused role highlighting problem solving, and relationship management.
- In depth knowledge of the Contract Furniture industry with preexisting relationships with open line manufacturers in the market (preferred).
- Ability to manage competing priorities and execute several complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong Spatial sense with the ability to relay layout and planning concepts to clients and designers.
- Previous facilities management, project management and/or design experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in Commercial or Residential design.
