  Base Salary: $290K – $320K before productivity bonus

  Estimated Total Compensation: $314K – $416K (after productivity bonuses)

A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician to serve as Medical Director at a busy, community-focused outpatient wellness clinic. You’ll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering accessible, high-quality care to patients across the Jacksonville area.

  Manage a minimum of 14 patients per 8-hour shift (or 7 per half day); adjusted proportionally for longer shifts.

\n
• \n

  Oversee patient scheduling to reduce no-shows and maintain productivity targets.

\n
• \n

  Complete all documentation same day or within 72 hours, with accurate E&M coding.

\n
• \n

  Provide comprehensive primary care for both chronic and acute conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, infections, HIV, STIs, UTIs, etc.).

\n
• \n

  Collaborate with front office, nursing, and care coordination teams to manage urgent and walk-in visits.

\n
• \n

  Review and act promptly on consults, labs, and imaging reports.

\n
• \n

  Approve and process prescription renewals within 72 hours.

\n
• \n

  Respond daily to patient communications and support retention initiatives.

\n
• \n

  Supervise and review charts for mid-level providers (NPs/PAs) as required.

\n
• \n

  Participate in after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.

\n
• \n

  Maintain AAHIVM certification (within 18 months of hire).

\n
• \n

  Receive 4 hours of protected administrative time weekly per policy.

\n

• \n

  M.D. or D.O. with an active and unrestricted state medical license.

\n
• \n

  Valid DEA and Furnishing License.

\n
• \n

  Minimum 2 years of outpatient primary care experience.

  Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a well-supported environment.

  AAHIVM Certification required within 18 months of hire.
