Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Observation

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days – Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Observation unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients across weekend day shifts
• Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour weekend day shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Prior travel nursing experience or ability to adapt quickly to a new facility environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an Observation unit or step-down capacity within a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with HCA facility systems and electronic medical record platforms
• ACLS certification preferred
