Emergency Department Nurse

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in the Emergency Department to acutely ill or injured patients, ensuring quality treatment and patient safety. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive emergency care.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients’ conditions promptly upon arrival and prioritize care needs.

Administer critical care medications, including IV infusions and sedation, following established protocols.

Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting as required.

Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostics, and respond to emergent situations such as codes, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis.

Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in Meditech EDM system.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care and improve outcomes.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications.

Demonstrate minimum of 2 years’ experience in critical care, emergency, or similar high-acuity settings.

Possess proficiency with critical care infusions, sedation, and emergency procedures.

Exhibit strong assessment skills and ability to perform rapid interventions.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented mindset.

Flexibility to work 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shifts, including every other weekend.
