Medical Assistant MA, Pediatrics, Weatogue ProHealth PhysiciansWeatogue, Connecticut (225 Hopmeadow Street, Weatogue, CT 06089)About the RoleJoin a busy Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine practice as a full-time Medical Assistant supporting providers, care teams, and patients across both clinical and administrative functions. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by collecting and documenting clinical information.
• Provide patient care support, clinical summaries, and follow-up guidance.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Answer, document, and route patient calls through the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Schedule tests, treatments, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, monitor task pools and referrals, and support smooth daily office operations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR
• Completed relevant medical assisting training through any branch of the United States Armed Forces OR
• 2+ years of aide-level or technician-level healthcare experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Completed relevant medical assisting training through any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential through AAMA, NHA, NCCT, or AMT.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience working with Epic.
• Experience working in a primary care office.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.

Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.23 per hour
