Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. This position is a a 1:1 RN position part-time 5 days a weekRequired Skills:Strong tube-feeding skillsOxygen management, including monitoring O2 saturation and administering oxygen as neededMedication administrationComfortable using a Hoyer lift and standerTraining will be provided on the student's specific equipmentHomecare experience preferred, but not requiredThis position comes with a competitive salary and generous benefits. Our benefits package includes:Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance with company contributionIRA with company matchingRequirements: ● Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university● Master of Science in Nursing or other advanced degree preferred.● Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Colorado Department ofRegulatory Agencies (DORA) or active compact RN license.● Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider (SSP) licenseor eligible to apply by start date. ● Experience required for ventilator via tracheostomy and tube feeds via g-tube in addition to toileting.●Current CPR certification● 3 years of current clinical experience● A completed Human Resources file including transcripts, student teachingverification, previous work experience.Responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring the safe and effective implementation of Student HealthServices initiatives amongst preschools, elementary schools, secondary schools,and other special programs in the district. Ensure compliance with district, state,and federal regulations within each assigned school/program. Provide leadership,supervision, and evaluation to licensed and unlicensed health office staff.Job Duties● Under the direction of the Health Services Leadership, lead and evaluateschool nurses, and other health staff.● Under the direction of the Health Services Leadership, provide mentorshipand professional development for school nurses and other health staff.● Implement professional learning needs assessments to guide professionaldevelopment planning.● Participate in the development and implementation of a School NurseOrientation and Induction program.● Facilitate communication between Health Services leadership, school-based leaders, families, and community partners.● Ensure compliance of all assigned schools with mandated school healthservices including immunizations, hearing and vision screening, andcommunicable disease reporting.● Collaborate with school level leadership to ensure that students haveconsistent access to high quality school health services, addressingbarriers and issues to Health Services leadership.● Collaborate with Health Services leadership to maintain professional skillsand knowledge of student Health Services in alignment with district, state,and federal regulations as well as national school nursing standards.● Assess health trends in schools that pose a risk to students.● Perform all duties in compliance with Individuals with DisabilitiesEducation Act (IDEA), Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), Board ofNursing, Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) regulations,Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements and ColoradoDepartment of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that would be right for this position, please fill out our initial 3-minute, mobile-friendly application so that we can review your information.
