Lead Platform Engineer (Python)

A rapidly growing cybersecurity company is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to help drive a major platform transformation as the business enters its next stage of growth. This role will play a critical part in modernizing core systems, scaling data infrastructure, and helping establish the technical foundation for future growth. What You'll Do Lead the design and development of core platform services and infrastructure Help define the architecture for the next generation of the platform Build scalable backend systems and data pipelines capable of processing large volumes of data Partner closely with engineering leadership on technical strategy and system design Mentor and elevate junior engineers through technical leadership and best practices Balance immediate product needs with long‑term platform investments Technology Environment Python Django FastAPI Cloud‑native infrastructure Large‑scale data processing and analytics systems What We're Looking For Extensive experience building and scaling backend platforms Deep understanding of distributed systems and modern software architecture Experience designing systems that support growth and increasing scale Strong systems design capabilities and architectural judgment Passion for mentoring and technical leadership Nice to Have Cybersecurity or threat intelligence experience Fraud prevention or risk analytics experience Experience with data quality, analytics, or statistical systems Why This Role?
