Shift: 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Meditech is required.

Required Skills/Experience: Experience in transplants, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis required.

Preferred Credentials: ARDMS ABD preferred.

Special Requests: All RTO requests must be presented at time of submission. No more than 1 week of time off will be approved. Travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months will not be accepted; must be separated from the facility for six months to be considered.

Unit Details: Performs abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams. Assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures, including amniocenteses, cyst punctures, thoracenteses, and biopsies. Records images on PACS and provides preliminary interpretation in a daily logbook; may convey preliminary interpretation to the requesting physician after discussion with the radiologist. Performs functions outside the Ultrasound Suite, including O.R., intensive care units, Emergency Department, and nursing floors, using portable ultrasound equipment. Performs high-level disinfection of ultrasound intracavitary transducers using the Trophon EPR system.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating start times and weekends. Shares 24-hour on-call duties with fellow sonographers only after reaching the minimum required expertise.
