ProCare Therapy is hiring Paraprofessionals and Behavior Technicians (Para/BTs) for multiple school-based contract opportunities in the El Monte, California area for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions will support students with special education and behavioral needs across a variety of classroom settings and grade levels.

ProCare Therapy is hiring Paraprofessionals and Behavior Technicians (Para/BTs) for multiple school-based contract opportunities in the El Monte, California area for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions will support students with special education and behavioral needs across a variety of classroom settings and grade levels.

Position Details

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• 2026–2027 school year assignments
• Multiple openings across elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Opportunities for:
• One-on-one student support
• Classroom behavioral support
• Autism support programs
• Special education classrooms
• Behavioral intervention support
• Caseloads and student needs may vary by assignment
• Pay Starts at $25-$32 based on experience 

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students throughout the school day
• Assist with behavior management and classroom engagement
• Support implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Help students with academic tasks, transitions, and social interactions
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation related to student support and behaviors
• Promote a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
• Support students with emotional regulation and communication skills

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience working with children or behavioral support preferred
• Experience in school, ABA, or special education settings preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
  CPI Training is a Plus
• RBT certification preferred for Behavior Technician assignments, but not required for all openings
