Schedule:  Training: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–4:30 PM (additional overtime for 18–24 months, then transition to 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–5:00 AM.

We are looking for individuals who are analytical, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented,  and serious about building a long-term career manufacturing.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Control / NDT Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our forged products meet customer, industry, and internal quality requirements. Willing to train entry level candidates providing they demonstrate willingness to work and ability to learn new skills and grow with company.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Perform product inspections and evaluate conformance to specifications.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate various non-destructive testing (NDT/NDE) equipment to verify steel integrity.
• Perform NDE in accordance with NADCAP standards and applicable procedures.
• Develop expertise and maintain internal certifications in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) .
• Obtain certifications in Niton, Brinell, and Final Inspection .
• Review shop orders, specifications, drawings, and production prints to determine appropriate inspection and testing requirements.
• Analyze inspection data and prepare NDE reports.
• Document non-conforming material and identify the location and nature of non-conformances.
• Prepare documentation for deviations and non-conformance reports.
• Complete dimensional inspection reports and customer-required inspection documentation.
• Work closely with Sales, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, and Production to resolve quality questions and communicate non-conformances.
• Perform inspections at Scot Forge facilities and, when required, at customer locations.
• Ask questions and raise concerns whenever a process, safety issue, or quality requirement is unclear.
• Follow all Scot Forge safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Complete required training for cranes, rigging, forklifts, etchants, Niton equipment, radiation detectors, and other specialized inspection equipment.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing, heavy equipment, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance experience.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and gauges .
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze technical information.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements.

Preferred:

• Associate degree (AAS or equivalent).
• NDT/NDE Level I or Level II certification.
• ASNT ACCP certifications in UT, PT, and/or MT .
• ASQ CQI or CQT certification.
• 1–3 years of applied NDE training or experience.
• Ultrasonic/Ultrasound testing experience.
• Strong QA/QC documentation and reporting experience.
• Prior experience in manufacturing.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position requires working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Candidates must be able to:

• Work in varying temperatures ranging from hot production areas to cooler environments.
• Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and work in awkward positions.
• Safely perform physically demanding maintenance work throughout the shift..
