Job Description
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Transform technology into opportunity as a Software Engineer at GDIT. Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Software Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. You will play a crucial role as a member of a talented team of engineers who develop, sustain, upgrade, and enhance software and full system solutions using the latest development tools, libraries, and techniques.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer must have:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional developer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
● Experience: 20+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Experience with AWS tools and services, Terraform, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Git/Gitlab, Gitlab runners, CI/CD, and Linux
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements:
Implement CI/CD pipelines
Establish staging clusters
Deploy and test software
Create infrastructure through code with tools like Terraform
Write helm charts
Transfer software artifacts between systems
Create documentation
Monitor system health and resource usage
