As a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a prestigious education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the chance to support daily campus operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while bringing reliable and innovative service to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, campus contacts, and/or first responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, common areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to enforce location rules regarding entry, visitor activity, restricted areas, and/or after-hours access in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and assist with security-related customer service needs at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
