HR Manager

The HR Manager owns the day-to-day HR operations across recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, HRIS administration, and compliance. The position serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, workplace concerns, benefits, and employee needs while ensuring accurate and timely HR administration. The role also supports employee engagement, recognition, culture, and communications initiatives that reinforce Ametrine's values and mission. Additionally, the position maintains compliance with employment laws and requirements, manages HR records and documentation, and partners with vendors and internal leaders to ensure effective HR programs and processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

• Coordinate the recruiting process from job posting through offer and pre-employment requirements.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and identify candidate needs.
• Manage candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, employment verification, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Support onboarding and ensure new hires have a positive and organized start.
• Monitor recruiting activity and adjust to improve hiring effectiveness and efficiency.

Employee Relations & Support

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions, policies, workplace concerns, and employee needs.
• Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and workplace issues.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and confidentiality of employee information.
• Drive engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives.

HR Administration & HRIS

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR information in the HRIS.
• Process employee changes including new hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations.
• Maintain personnel files and ensure required documentation is complete.
• Prepare HR reports and assist with audits and data requests.
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and other employee resources.

Benefits & Leave Administration

• Serve as a primary resource for employees regarding benefits and benefit-related questions.
• Support annual benefits enrollment and ongoing benefits administration.
• Coordinate employee leave requests and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Partner with benefit brokers and vendors to resolve employee issues.
• Assist with benefits audits and compliance requirements.
• Monitor benefit plan administration and identify opportunities for improvement.

Performance & Talent Management

• Support the company's performance management process.
• Coordinate performance review cycles and related communications.
• Help administer employee recognition and engagement programs.

Compliance

• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Support administration of employment documentation, including I-9s and required records.
• Maintain required HR and compliance records.
• Oversee/Assist with HR audits, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
• Stay informed of changes to employment laws and recommend updates when needed.

Culture & Employee Engagement

• Implement and support HR initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and company culture.
• Help coordinate employee communications, events, recognition programs, and engagement activities.
• Gather employee feedback and help identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.
• Support initiatives that reinforce Ametrine's values and mission.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Ability to build effective relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of HR generalist and/or management experience covering recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification, preferred.

Other Requirements :

• Must be US Person, per US government contracts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the office and production environment for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of materials, tools, or equipment that may exceed 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform fine motor tasks (e.g., using a computer, handling small parts).
• Frequent exposure to noise, machinery, and manufacturing tools.
• The work environment is generally fast-paced, and the employee may be required to shift between team collaboration, independent work, and meeting tight deadlines.
