Assistant Property Manager

Tide Property Management is looking for an Assistant Property Manager who is exceptional at leasing, communication, and building relationships. This role is primarily based in Summerville, with occasional travel into Charleston and surrounding areas. You’ll need reliable transportation and be comfortable being out in the field when needed. You understand that leasing isn’t about unlocking a door and hoping someone applies. It’s about figuring out what someone wants, helping them see why a property fits, and staying in touch until they make a decision. You’re competitive enough to care about the numbers, but personable enough that people genuinely enjoy working with you. If a lead goes cold, you want to know why. If a property isn’t leasing, you want to figure out what’s wrong. And if someone is looking for a home, you take ownership of helping them find one. We’re looking for someone who can build real relationships and get results. If you’ve been one of the best leasing people on your team before, you’ll probably do very well here. Responsibilities: Own the leasing pipeline. Respond quickly, follow up relentlessly, and make sure good prospects don’t fall through the cracks. Build real relationships with prospective residents and help them find the right home. Coordinate showings and make sure prospects have a great experience from first inquiry through move-in. Help applicants navigate the application, approval, and lease-signing process. Stay close to our vacant properties. Know what’s leasing, what isn’t, and help us figure out why. Build strong relationships with current residents and help solve problems before they become bigger problems. Support our Property Managers with renewals, move-ins, inspections, resident communication, and day-to-day portfolio needs. Spend most of your time working in the Summerville market while being willing to travel to Charleston and surrounding areas when the job calls for it. Qualifications: Strong residential leasing experience is highly preferred. If you’ve consistently been one of the better leasing performers on your team, we want to talk to you. You’re great with people and know how to build trust quickly. You’re comfortable picking up the phone, having real conversations, and asking for the lease. You follow up without needing someone to remind you. You’re organized enough to manage a lot of prospects, residents, and moving pieces without dropping the ball. You have a strong sense of urgency and don’t like letting problems sit. Property management, multifamily, apartment leasing, or real estate experience is strongly preferred. You have reliable transportation and are comfortable driving throughout Summerville, Charleston, and the surrounding area as needed. Compensation: $65,000

Compensation:
$65,000 per year
