CAD Designer (Low Voltage / Telecom & Security Systems) Location: Livermore, CA Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay: $30-35 an hour (Based on experience) About the Opportunity We're seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join a growing team supporting cutting-edge telecommunications, security, and life safety systems projects. What You'll Be Doing Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards Create and modify detailed CAD drawings for telecom, security, and low-voltage systems (CCTV, access control, etc.) Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve design quality Translate rough concepts and redlines into fully developed CAD documents Ensure all drawings align with project requirements, codes, and standards Work independently within established processes while maintaining high attention to detail Support design updates and revisions throughout project lifecycles What You Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years of CAD experience (AutoCAD strongly preferred) Experience working with low voltage systems , including: Telecommunications infrastructure Security systems (CCTV, access control) Life safety systems Strong understanding of technical drawings, layouts, and design standards Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field Experience with OSP (Outside Plant) or telecom design Familiarity with structured cabling systems and network infrastructure Key Skills AutoCAD & CAD Drafting Telecom Design Low Voltage Systems Security Systems (Cameras, Card Access) Engineering Drawing Interpretation Attention to Detail Communication & Team Collaboration What Makes You a Great Fit You're detail-oriented and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality drawings You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams You can manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment You bring a proactive mindset and enjoy solving technical challenges Why Apply?
