Senior Product Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced, thoughtful, and hands-on Senior Product Designer to take a leading role in the design of Milford.

This is not a position where you will simply receive finished requirements and turn them into screens.

You will work closely with leadership, product, and engineering to help translate ideas and business goals into intuitive, beautiful, and scalable digital experiences.

You should be comfortable working in an early-stage environment where the product is evolving quickly and where your decisions can have a meaningful impact on the direction of the platform.

As our product and engineering teams grow, you will also have the opportunity to help establish the design standards, systems, and processes that will guide Milford moving forward.

You will help lead the end-to-end product design experience across Milford, including:

• Designing intuitive mobile-first experiences from concept through development and launch
\n
• Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity product designs
\n
• Helping define and improve the overall Milford user experience
\n
• Building and maintaining a scalable design system and component library
\n
• Creating thoughtful interaction patterns and product behaviors
\n
• Translating complex ideas into experiences that feel simple and natural to the user
\n
• Collaborating directly with software engineers throughout development
\n
• Reviewing implemented designs and helping ensure the final product reflects the intended experience
\n
• Identifying usability problems and recommending solutions
\n
• Helping establish product design standards and processes as the company grows
\n
• Thinking beyond individual screens and considering the entire customer journey
\n
• Balancing user needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and long-term product strategy

We're looking for someone who has:

\n
• 5+ years of product design, UX/UI design, or comparable digital product experience
\n
• Significant experience designing mobile applications
\n
• A strong portfolio demonstrating real digital products and end-to-end product thinking
\n
• Advanced experience with Figma and modern product design tools
\n
• Strong knowledge of UX principles, information architecture, interaction design, and usability
\n
• Experience building or contributing to design systems
\n
• Experience creating prototypes and communicating product interactions
\n
• The ability to work closely and effectively with software engineers
\n
• Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the larger product experience
\n
• The ability to take an idea that is still evolving and help turn it into a clear product solution
\n
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
\n
• The confidence to challenge an idea when there is a better solution while remaining highly collaborative
\n
