Endocrinology Program Director

Duties

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Direct and supervise the Endocrinology Program, including the outpatient endocrinology clinic.
• Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient care for the full range of endocrine diseases, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone disorders.
• Supervise and mentor endocrinology fellows, residents, and students.
• Serve as Fellowship Director for the section's ACGME-accredited Endocrinology Fellowship (approximately eight fellows).
• Oversee clinical documentation, quality and safety initiatives, access, peer review, and process improvement for the section.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care, conferences, section leadership, and service leadership activities.
• Encourage and, where applicable, conduct research in endocrinology and metabolism.
• Direct the operations and staff of the Endocrinology Section, including outpatient clinic, inpatient consult service, and the fellowship program.
• Support education and, where applicable, research missions.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
