About This Role The Nurse Professional Development Generalist (NPD) is a Registered Nurse/Educator responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes. Highlights Location: Perth Amboy, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Night shift What You'll Do Create teaching/learning strategies that promote application of knowledge, skills, and attitudes to practice. Analyze competency assessment data to identify gaps in practice. Develop educational programs to achieve patient‑oriented outcomes. Plan orientation and competency requirements based on future needs of staff. Manage practice gaps between academia and service. Apply change theory to support organizational innovation and change management. Serve as project manager conducting needs assessment, gap analysis, planning, implementing, and evaluating program outcomes. Encourage lifelong learning and empower individual nurses to identify their learning needs. Align activities with organizational goals and measure contributions to patient safety and quality outcomes. Participate in unit‑specific initiatives to improve patient care outcomes.
