About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation and Charitable Entities. The successful candidate will be a key partner with the President and other institutional leaders, playing a pivotal role in the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the College. This leadership position demands a creative, visionary, and inspirational individual with a strong commitment to public higher education, particularly in the promotion of the arts and their integration with liberal arts and sciences. The role involves serving as the chief advancement officer, leading fundraising efforts, and overseeing the development and alumni relations office. The ideal candidate will be a skilled administrator, capable of motivating and expanding a talented staff, and will work closely with the College's leadership and Foundation Board to secure philanthropic support in areas of institutional need. Applicants for the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director position at the company should be prepared to demonstrate a proven track record in fundraising and advancement, as well as the ability to create and implement comprehensive development plans. The role requires a leader who can effectively promote the College and its strategic initiatives, and who is adept at orchestrating all elements of a successful development and alumni relations program. A background in the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences, or related fields is advantageous, given the College's unique focus on the integration of these disciplines. The candidate should be a strategic thinker, with the capacity to work collaboratively and build strong relationships both within the institution and with external stakeholders. A graduate degree is typically required, and experience in a similar leadership role within a higher education or nonprofit setting is highly valued.
