Dayshift Painter Regular Full Time - Technical Painter – Sheldon, IA, US Summary Paints and identifies products and components by customer, number and/or color; loads and unloads components/products from and/or to pallets, carts, machines, conveyors, etc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uses proper painting techniques and paint troubleshooting. Understands and operates the various machines used in the painting process. Demonstrates a working understanding of the basic procedures of preparing cylinders before paint (how to hang, whether to use plugs, grease, etc.). Correctly identifies products/components by customer and/or color. Correctly inspects and identifies rejected cylinders before or after painting (broken plugs, bad welds, missing bushings, light or heavy paint, etc.) and corrects various paint defects. Keeps work area clean and organized. May enter required data into computer. Keeps track of paint inventory. Demonstrates a working understanding of the PAQ Queue and its functions. Ability to see color. Able to apply common sense understanding to basic work processes. Capable of carrying out detailed, but simply stated, written or oral instructions. Can deal with problems involving a few concrete and routine job specific variables. Demonstrates attention to detail. Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides all units of measure. Demonstrates commitment to the realization of company goals. Demonstrates commitment to working in a team setting. Demonstrates ability to communicate orally in a clear and positive manner.
