Job Summary:
The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and provide comprehensive care to patients at multiple Puget Sound Kidney Centers locations. This role involves patient education, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans, administering medications, monitoring patient outcomes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams. The RN will work in a chronic, in-center dialysis setting, covering multiple clinic locations with flexible day shifts Monday through Saturday. Responsibilities:
- Oversee dialysis treatment delivery and patient care in center-based settings.
- Provide patient education related to dialysis and treatment plans.
- Supervise Dialysis Technicians and support staff.
- Adjust treatment plans in accordance with standing orders and care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with social workers, dietitians, nephrologists, and other care team members.
- Cover multiple clinic locations including Anacortes, Whidbey Island, and Smokey Point.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Washington State Board of Nursing or multi-state compact nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
- Previous dialysis nursing experience is required.
- Experience in acute or ambulatory nursing settings.
- Must be able to work across multiple clinic locations.
- Flexible to work any shift (AM/PM) depending on staffing and operational needs.
- Work is primarily in a chronic, in-center dialysis environment.
- Work schedule includes any day Monday through Saturday.
- Shift assignments may vary between morning and evening shifts based on operational requirements.
