Service Manager/Operations Manager

Job Description

VHF Sales, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Manager / Operations Manager to coordinate service, warranty, equipment startups, parts, and field support for commercial HVAC, industrial, and hydronic systems throughout Iowa and Western Illinois.

This position serves as the primary technical liaison between customers, contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and the VHF team. The successful candidate will coordinate service activities, support technicians, manage warranty claims, assist with technical problem solving, maintain service documentation, and help ensure customer issues are resolved professionally and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has experience with commercial HVAC, industrial, and hydronic systems, including chillers, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, heat pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, and related mechanical equipment. Strong communication, organization, technical problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential.

Compensation: $70,000–$110,000 DOE

Qualifications

Required

Five (5) or more years of commercial HVAC, industrial, hydronic, service, startup, commissioning, or technical support experience.
Three (3) or more years coordinating service operations, warranty administration, field technicians, or technical support.
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and hydronic systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow projects through completion.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, CRM software, and manufacturer technical resources.
Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for company vehicle insurance.

Preferred

HVAC Journeyman License
HVAC/R Trade School
Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering degree
Experience with manufacturer representatives, commercial HVAC service management, or applied mechanical systems
