Half-time Secretary/Accountant

Location: Burnsville Elementary

Length of Employment: 210 Day Contract

Salary: West Virginia State Minimum Pay Scale

Reports To: Building Administrator

Evaluation: Evaluated annually by the building principal/immediate supervisor in accordance with WV State Code 18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5314.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Certification/Qualifications: High School Diploma, General Equivalent Development Certificate (GED) per West Virginia Code 18A-2-5. Personnel must be or have been classified in this category or must pass the state prescribed exam for this position per West Virginia Code 18A-4-8e. Eight years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting assignments performing progressively difficult accounting tasks or twelve hours college credit in accounting courses from an accredited institution of higher education. The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position as contained in the Job Description. Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code 18-5-15c and/or 18A-3-10, as appropriate.
