Big Data Analyst

Salary: $118,000 - 196,000 per year

Requirements:

We require U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government security clearance; candidates who do not currently hold the required clearance are not eligible for consideration. We may also need U.S. person status for certain export-controlled roles under applicable U.S. export control laws. We need a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent years of experience in place of the degree. We require at least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or in a similar analytical role. We need experience creating a repeatable framework for data evaluations and presenting findings to government stakeholders. We expect strong familiarity with technical data sources, including Technical Telemetry Data and telecommunications protocol data such as cellular and Wi‑Fi. We require excellent written and verbal communication skills. We need a self-directed professional with strong time management skills who can juggle multiple priorities independently. We require experience working in fast-moving environments. We need prior collaboration experience with software engineers to review feedback and validate technical implementation for custom applications. We require experience using scripting or analytical tools such as Python, SQL, Spark, or PySpark. We require the ability to work on-site in Herndon, VA, with flexibility to support Springfield, VA as needed. Responsibilities:

We will have you evaluate datasets and build assessments that support government decision-making. We will rely on you to shape data engineering approaches that improve analytic tradecraft within our applications. We will have you identify and document gaps in our data holdings and analytical capabilities. We expect you to partner closely with software developers to refine requirements and provide feedback as application changes are delivered. We will have you support end users by responding to questions and requests related to data and applications. We may also ask you to translate technical findings for broader audiences when needed.
