Job Summary Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician to provide essential direct patient care under the supervision of the clinical team. The role involves assisting patients with personal care, mobility, feeding, and monitoring vital signs while maintaining a therapeutic and organized patient environment. Responsibilities Assist nurses and physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures as requested. Retrieve necessary equipment and supplies. Assist with patient and equipment preparation. Perform follow‑up actions as directed. Prepare patients for transportation to other departments or areas. Help patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding. Monitor patient vital signs and document observations. Maintain a therapeutic and organized patient environment. Collaborate closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport. Qualifications Completion of a nursing assistant program, EMT program, or first block of a nursing program. Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (AZ) or Certified Nursing Assistant (AZ). American Heart Association BLS certification.
