Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to restore function and mobility
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
- Document services accurately and in a timely manner
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs according to practice acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to ensure the best outcomes
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
- Active New Jersey PT license or ability to obtain one
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
- Flexible and adaptable to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive patient evaluation and treatment planning
- Accurate and timely medical documentation
- Supervision and delegation of PTAs and Rehab Techs
- Effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
