Summary Extrusion Operator is responsible for running extrusion machines, packing and moving pipe to storage location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Starting up extruder, monitoring material flow, making adjustments to extruder and downstream equipment as needed. Inspecting and identifying poor quality pipe using micrometer, pie tape, etc. Packing pipe per standards with strapping tool, weighing pipe and moving to designated storage area with forklift. Keeping work area up to 5S housekeeping standards including operating sweeper as necessary. Responsible for performing minor repairs on pipe racks, printers, etc. Assisting set‑up instructor as necessary. Assisting Tool & Die and Maintenance personnel in repair of equipment.
